There are banks in most towns and villages on the island with the exception of Assos. Opening times are normally 9-00AM - 2-00PM Monday to Saturday. Most of the banks have ATM cash point machines which are available 24 hours.

POST OFFICES.

There is a Post Office in each of the following towns: Argostoli, Lixouri, Skala, Sami, Agia Efima and Fiskardo. Opening hours are generally 8-00AM -1-00PM Monday to friday and 9-00AM -1-00PM on Saturday. Closed on Sunday. Outside of these towns, you will find yellow Post Boxes. Stamps are available from most mini markets.

This is a scarce commodity on the island. Please use sparingly. The tap water is fine for cleaning teeth, or boiling a kettle for tea or coffee, but for drinking, we recommend that you buy bottled water.
